the beautiful and classic lifeguard tower.
It is difficult to say Bellevue without mentioning the world-renowned architect Arne Jacobsen. Despite the French-sounding name Bellevue, which in all its simplicity means "beautiful view", the entire area around the iconic beach in Klampenborg is the result of Danish Jacobsen's total design, where he designs everything from buildings to lamps, fixtures, textiles and furniture. And Bellevue Strandbad, which was actually Arne Jacobsen's first building, is no exception.
Before the opening of the beach, the young Copenhageners changed their clothes on the beach – to the great outrage of the locals. Fortunately, this was changed in the summer of 1932 and since then several iconic buildings have been added as part of Arne Jacobsen's plan for a homogeneous and timeless design environment where all elements are connected.
